The Lawstudios Approach
The firm has often represented artists and creative professionals -- filmmakers, fashion designers, and others -- who work in a studio environment. Observing the collaborative spirit in these creative spaces, the firm has drawn inspiration and incorporated some of that feel and energy into its legal work.
The notion of "studio" invokes an image of a creative space -- a space in which creativity, collaboration, and multi-disciplinary approaches can come together to create something new.
For example, on a set in a film studio one finds everyone from the director to the janitor, with each person awaiting his or her turn to contribute to the collaborative effort. So too, in a dance studio, one also finds everything from a director or instructor down to the janitor. In smaller outfits of either sort, the director may also be the janitor: One does what is needed, and nobody has any reluctance to get his or her hands dirty in promoting the objectives of the mission. This is the atmosphere at Lawstudios.
Yet it is more than an atmosphere. The Lawstudios approach also represents a distinct and unique approach to the practice of law which not only endows the firm with tremendous problem-solving abilities, but also breadth of scope in the types of problems which can be handled, and also scalability.
